Welcome to the unhurried pace of life afforded on west coast Florida's best-kept secret-the private, gated community with fewer than 70 properties, of North Manasota Key, located in Sarasota county. This charming 11-mile island, dripping with Old Florida ambiance, offers the ultimate laidback lifestyle to calm and soothe the soul. Here you can stroll the sandy beaches of your own secluded getaway with endless views of the Gulf of Mexico's turquoise waters. Lazy days of beachcombing for shark's teeth, seashells and sand dollars await you at “Maison sur la Mer” with its 200 feet of direct gulf frontage and almost 200 feet on Lemon Bay, creating a magnificent estate size property on 1.75 acres. The approach is from a winding driveway that circles to the front entryway where the inviting residence sits high at 14+ feet elevation. Built like a fortress in 1977 with masonry construction and concrete between the floors, it has an effective year built of 2002 and has been enhanced since 2015 with numerous upgrades, including new roofs on both the residence and the separate 3-vehicle garage, impact glass and shutters; remodeled kitchen and updated baths; new wood-grained tile flooring. All ensuite bedrooms have balconies facing the gulf, with one on the ground floor and two upstairs. The tastefully manicured gardens feel natural with native plantings and the grounds are illuminated beautifully with LED lighting. You will enjoy entertaining family and friends from the spacious covered terrace, expertly designed to provide protection from occasional inclement weather. Sipping a cool beverage from the terrace facing the large heated pool with its wrap-around decking, you feel as if you are immersed in a resort without a care in the world in this totally private oasis.
